Moving Towards Perfection!
Every person who has put their faith in Jesus for salvation is for the rest of their life moving towards perfection, to becoming like Christ. This is part of God’s purpose for salvation, to create for Himself a people who are Christlike, “conformed to the image of His Son” (Romans 8:29). The goal is that Jesus would be the “firstborn among many brothers” (Romans 8:29), highlighting His preeminence and the shared family likeness (perfection) of believers. ~Dr. Robert L. Tayl

The Maranatha Mindset
Every believer needs a "Maranatha Mindset!" Biblically, the word maranatha has one of two meanings: "𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲" 𝗼𝗿 "𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀!" The meaning behind these powerful phrases points to it being a petition or prayer for Jesus to return. So, what's the mindset? First let's be clear on what the word mindset means. It's "a habitual mental attitude that determines how you 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀." In other w

Why Pray? (Part Two)
Prayer is designed to change your life! Yes, prayer is designed to change lives by transforming believers from within, fostering spiritual growth, and a deeper connection with God, shifting perspectives, building resilience, and bringing healing, peace, and wisdom, making one more like the person God intends them to be, rather than just a tool for changing external circumstances. Prayer is seen as a spiritual discipline that strengthens faith, weakens temptation, and aligns d

Why Pray? (Part One)
Most Christians recognize and accept, at least intellectually, the need to pray. But somehow, many are not experiencing the joy of a meaningful and effective life of praying. One reason behind this is we've lost the real purpose and significance of biblical prayer. In the Bible, meaningful and effective prayer is viewed as a way in which we become aware of and experience God's presence and character! There's absolutely nothing more significant, more needful, and more impactfu

Minding Your Own Business!
Biblically, minding your own business is a part of orderly living. “Minding your own business” is considered a full-time job! That’s because it requires constant effort and focused attention on one's own character, work, and responsibilities, leaving no time for gossip, interference, or unnecessary drama, (1 Thessalonians 4:11-12). Let’s keep our full-time jobs! Let’s stay employed! Be encouraged! ~Dr. Robert L. Taylor, Th.D., spiritually gifted Bible teacher

Bringing Clarity to Proverbs 18:21 (Conclusion)
King Solomon teaches, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit” (Proverbs 18:21). He says, “those who love it.” Now what exactly does that mean? Those who “love it”? “Love” what? Solomon is talking about people who love to talk. The context bears witness to this. Look at verses 2 and 13. Solomon is emphasizing that there are always real-life consequences when it comes to our words, AND, if you love to talk, you shouldn't be sur

Bringing Clarity to Proverbs 18:21 (Part Two)
King Solomon teaches, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit” (Proverbs 18:21). But do our tongues possess the power of death and life? Or—perhaps a better question is—what does that even mean? Biblically, “the power of the tongue” refers to the influence words have on relationships, reputations, emotions, and personal outcomes, rather than the power to manifest physical objects or reality. It signifies that words can “destroy

Bringing Clarity to Proverbs 18:21 (Part One)
King Solomon teaches, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit” (Proverbs 18:21). Does this mean that people can speak things into existence? That’s what many are believing! But what does this mean? Do I have the power to speak things into existence? Do the declarations of Christians possess divine power? The Bible teaches that only God creates out of nothing (Genesis 1, Romans 4:17), while human, finite words cannot force real

Scripture means different things to different people!
Heard someone say to me, “that Scripture verse means something different to different people!” Is that a statement of truth? Absolutely not! The Bible cannot mean different things to different people because that only brings confusion. Every passage of Scripture has a single, objective, author-intended meaning, rather than a subjective meaning determined by the reader! The meaning of Scripture is fixed, rooted in its original context, and not subject to individual interpretat
