Knowing the Jesus of the Bible
Based on the historical, archeological, and forensic evidence, Jesus was a Middle Eastern, Palestinian Jewish man with brown skin who lived in the region of Galilee/Judea (today's Palestine/Israel). This is contrary to the popular white image. He was born under occupation. He lived among the poor. He identified with the marginalized (groups of people excluded from mainstream social, economic, and educational life). He uplifted the oppressed. He flipped over the tables of

Bringing Clarity to Proverbs 18:24
We read, “A man of too many friends comes to ruin, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother” (Proverbs 18:24). This emphasizes that quality of friendship is more important than quantity. It advises wisdom in choosing friends, prioritizing deep, sacrificial relationships over many superficial ones. Quality friends are hard to find because they go against the grain of human selfishness and surface-level relationships. Scripture suggests that while acquaintances a

The Lord Doesn’t Choose Your Mate, You Do!
To all my single sisters in Christ looking to marry, this is for you. Whether you marry, and who you marry, are spoken of in Scripture as something He allows you to choose. Biblically, this means that God grants you free will and responsibility to choose a spouse, rather than waiting for Him to bring one to you. While the Bible guides believers, the decision is a personal one based on applying wisdom and biblical principles, rather than a divine appointment. The Bible sugges

Faith & Politics--An Unholy Alliance
To anyone attempting to turn Christianity into the property of a political party: STOP! Trusting in God is not registered with the Republican Party or the Democratic Party! In John 18:36 , Jesus tells Pontius Pilate, (a politician) "My kingdom is not of this world," clarifying that His authority is spiritual and heavenly, not a political or earthly power. The Kingdom of God does not appear on a ballot, and the gospel was never meant to be reduced to a partisan loyalty test.

Sowing & Reaping
Concerning Paul’s teaching in Galatians 6:7-9, repentance interrupts the destructive cycle of sowing and reaping by changing the "seed" from sin to righteousness. While repentance brings forgiveness and stops eternal consequences, natural or disciplinary consequences (reaping) often remain to teach obedience. Repentance shifts the focus from sowing to the flesh to sowing to the Spirit, changing the future harvest! In summary, repentance does not always eliminate the earthly,

Karma has NOTHING TO DO WITH the Gospel of Grace! (Conclusion)
Biblical sowing and reaping (Galatians 6:7) is not equivalent to Buddhist and Hindu karma, as they originate from opposite worldviews regarding God, justice, and salvation. Sowing and reaping operates within one lifetime based on accountability to a personal, merciful God, while karma is an impersonal, inescapable force that excludes the concept of divine grace and is the process of continuous birth and death, where the soul reincarnates to resolve past karma, balancing good

Karma has NOTHING TO DO WITH the Gospel of Grace!
I saw some posts referencing karma to sowing and reaping in the Bible. Is that accurate? Is karma biblical? No, it is not! Karma is a concept found in the Buddhist and Hindu religions that teaches you get what you deserve. The Bible doesn’t teach that you always get what you deserve. Biblically, reaping what is sown (Galatians 6:7) is not a mechanism of karma, but a principle of accountability tempered by God's mercy (see Romans 9:15-18). While actions have consequences, me

What does your life proclaim? (Conclusion)
In 2 Corinthians 3:2–3, Apostle Paul describes believers as "letters" written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God. The first thing to consider about a letter is whether it can be read at all. The believer’s life should be clear and legible to all. In a biblical sense, your life being a "letter" means you are a living message written by God, meant to be read by the world. The Christian life proclaims the glory of God, the gospel of Jesus, and the power of salva

Walk with God!
Amazingly enough, when we turn to the Bible, we see that God Himself wants to fellowship with those who’re in Christ. As a matter of fact, God has gone to incredible lengths to make it possible for us to fellowship with Him, and He has plans to do so for all eternity. Take a moment to chew on those words! Apostle John says, “But if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin”
