Why Pray? (Part One)

Most Christians recognize and accept, at least intellectually, the need to pray. But somehow, many are not experiencing the joy of a meaningful and effective life of praying. One reason behind this is we've lost the real purpose and significance of biblical prayer. In the Bible, meaningful and effective prayer is viewed as a way in which we become aware of and experience God's presence and character! There's absolutely nothing more significant, more needful, and more impactful than experiencing the presence and character of God! It's through biblical prayer we meet and connect with the heart and will of God. Many have said to me, "Dr Taylor, I pray because prayer changes things!" Indeed, biblical prayer does change things. But the most important thing about prayer is, it's designed to change us! Be encouraged!
