Understanding 2 Corinthians 4:6 (Conclusion)

Many cultures have an idea summarizing what the culture truly appreciates. During Paul’s time, the Hebrews valued “light.” As the culture of philosophy, Greeks valued “knowledge.” Roman culture valued “glory,” being the empire that conquered the known world. Paul’s statement here incorporates all of these: “light, knowledge, and glory.” In a sense, this implies that Jesus is the ultimate fulfillment of anything and everything we could ever want!! He is the “light, knowledge, and glory” we all seek, even though we’re blinded to our need by sin. Be encouraged and seek Jesus!
