From the heart of Dr. Robert L. Taylor, Th.D., Bible teacher & expositor. As believers in Jesus, are you living with an eternal perspective? If so, awesome! If not, why? What’s an eternal perspective? An eternal perspective is a way of viewing life that emphasizes the significance of eternity and God's plan, influencing one's thoughts, decisions, and actions in the present. It involves recognizing that earthly life is temporary and that our choices have lasting consequences in the afterlife. This perspective encourages individuals to align their lives with eternal values and principles, seeking to live in a way that pleases God and prepares them for the next life. The crucial components of an eternal perspective are recognizing the brevity of earthly life! Compared to eternity, our time on Earth is very, very short. With this in mind, we should focus on and consider how our actions and choices will be viewed and judged in eternity, rather than just focusing on immediate, temporary outcomes. Having an eternal perspective enables us to align our lives with God's will, seeking to understand and live according to God's plan and His Word. Living with an eternal perspective enables us to embrace eternal values by prioritizing love, compassion, forgiveness, and other virtues that are valued in eternity. Lastly, living with an eternal perspective means seeking spiritual growth, striving to become more like God through personal development and righteous living. Be encouraged!
