"Beholding The Awesome Wonder of The Holy Spirit!"

The Bible is very clear in teaching that there is one and only one God. The Bible is very clear that the one God exists eternally and is fully expressed in three Persons. The three Persons are identified as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit! They are members of the Godhead (the fullness of the divine nature and attributes), each being eternally God, and each being fully God. They are not three gods but three Persons of the one Godhead (Colossians 2:9). Each member of the Godhead is equal in nature as each possesses fully the identically same eternal divine nature. Each member is also an eternal and distinct personal expression of the one undivided divine nature. The Holy Spirit, then, being a member of the Godhead, is fully God! Examine Luke's words in Acts 5:1-4. In telling of the fate of a man named Ananias and his wife Sapphira, we read these words, "But Peter said, "Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back some of the price of the land?" "While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, was it not under your control? Why is it that you have conceived this deed in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God" (verses 3-4). Take note that in verse three, Peter said Ananias "lied to the Holy Spirit." But in verse four, Peter said Ananias "lied to God." Because Peter recognized the Holy Spirit as God, he could say those words! The Holy Spirit, then, is fully God! He is not one-third God, but fully God. Yet, we understand, it's not the Holy Spirit alone who is fully God, because He eternally exists along with the Father and the Son. We must understand and embrace that what distinguishes the Holy Spirit from the Father and the Son is not the divine nature, but His particular role as the Holy Spirit with respect to His relation to that of the Father and to the Son as well as the relationships that He shares with each of them! Why is this important? It's important because of the fact that the Holy Spirit lives within every Christ follower! His actions and interactions within the Christ follower flows from His actions and interactions within the Godhead! WE NEED TO BECOME GOD-INSIDE MINDED! The development and growth of our relationships with God and others is dependent upon us seeing God as He has revealed Himself for who He is, the one God who is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit! Your move. Be encouraged!
