From the heart of Pastor Robert: A godly man will lead his family in fearing the Lord! Godly men understand and embrace the fact that the fear of the Lord is a dominant theme in both Testaments (Old and New). There is a difference between a man of God and a godly man! Every godly man is a man of God, but not every man of God is a godly man! As godly husbands and fathers, we can not afford to diminish the fear of the Lord in our homes! What is the fear of the Lord? It is a healthy respect and reverence for God stemming from the knowledge of God and resulting in obedience to God. In other words, the fear of the Lord is an attitude (respect and reverence) that results in an action (obedience). This reverential awe of the Lord God is foundational for all spiritual knowledge and wisdom! As godly men, let's follow hard after the fear of the Lord! Your move. Be encouraged!
