The Spirit-Filled Life...The Person and work of the Holy Spirit!

Far too many Christ followers are not experiencing the enabling power of God in their lives. For these Christ followers, life has been reduced to a matter of doing the best THEY CAN to conform to certain expected biblical standards. On the surface, some appear to be more successful at conforming to the standards than others, but if they're honest with themselves, there is the always present awareness that something is not right! In our attempt to reason, we seek to find comfort in thoughts like: "No one is perfect, we all have our weaknesses," or "Don't judge me," or "I'm doing the very best I can, and God understands." Of course, there is none perfect, and certainly God understands! However, let's assume we are doing our best. This does not change the fact that unless we're walking by faith in God and in His resources in Jesus, we will continue to miss living life the way life was designed to be lived! The question we must ask, "Is OUR BEST what God wants?" The answer is no! God wants faith in HIS best, the Lord Jesus Christ, and in the person of the Holy Spirit whom God has sent to indwell us and empower us so we can experience the awesome power of Jesus and the ability to do our best, not in our own power, but in the strength that God supplies! The apostle Paul has some encouraging words for us! In Colossians 1:29, he says, "For this purpose also I labor, striving according to His power, which mightily works within me." Brothers and sisters, Paul is making mention of the person and work of the Holy Spirit in his life! In order to live this kind of life, we must become well acquainted with the person and work of the Holy Spirit! We must know and become very familiar with the Holy Spirit by becoming "God inside minded!" Your move. Be encouraged!
