Believe it or not, every person has a worldview—a way of looking at, reacting to, and navigating this life. The question is, as a follower of Jesus, do you have a biblical worldview? Apostle Paul teaches, “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect” (Romans 12:2). This verse encourages Christians to resist being molded by the patterns of the world and instead undergo a mental transformation through God, which will enable them to understand and live out God's will. Paul writes that we must stop being “conformed to this world.” The word “world” in this verse refers to the “world system,” or the way that every human being lives by default. John described this worldly way of living as “the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life” (1 John 2:16). By instinct, all of us have been conformed to chase those things in pursuit of happiness and meaning. Paul continues, “But be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” The way to develop a biblical worldview is to read, memorize, and internalize God’s Word. To fill your mind with the truths of Scripture. Once these truths become second nature, your mind and thoughts begin changing. Your priorities start to change. Your perspective starts to change. Your attitude starts to change. And your actions start to change. As believers, our worldview should align with Jesus’ worldview as much as possible. This is the process through which transformation occurs. It means changing the way you think so that your mind is rebuilt with God's principles. A renewed mind is crucial for seeing life from God's perspective! Be encouraged!
