I was asked the question, “If the Bible says Jesus is the Son of God, how is it that Christians say that He is God?” The term Son of God is used in reference to Jesus more than a few times in the New Testament. We’ve concluded that the title “Son of God” for Jesus has several layers of meaning, predominantly referring to His deity and divine nature, distinct from God the Father, yet sharing the same essence. It signifies He is God in human flesh (John 1:1, 14), God's unique and perfect image, and the perfect representation of God's glory (Hebrews 1:3). The title Son of God doesn’t lower Jesus. It reveals His full divinity. Be encouraged!
