When your past calls, hang up!

In a biblical context, "when your past calls, hang up" means refusing to be defined by, or return to, your former sinful lifestyle and mistakes. It aligns directly with the biblical call to leave behind your "old self" to embrace the new life, purpose, and future God has for you. The Bible teaches that once you are in Christ, your previous life is dead. Paul declares, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old has gone, the new is here" (2 Corinthians 5:17). God says your past no longer defines you and calls you to leave it behind.
