Understanding Psalm 73:26 (Conclusion)

We read, “My flesh and my heart may fail, But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever” (Psalm 73:26). Your worth is not finally held in your performance, your appearance, your usefulness, or your resilience. Your portion is not your productivity, your relationships, or your reputation. Your portion is God Himself – His love, His nearness, His promise to keep you. Saying "God is my portion" means finding your ultimate inheritance, satisfaction, and security in God Himself. It signifies that God is your greatest treasure and that, even when everything else is lost, having Him is enough. The psalmist emphasizes relying on the sufficiency of God.
