Understanding Psalm 27:14

We read, “Wait for the LORD; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the LORD” (Psalm 27:14). If you’re in a waiting season right now, this verse speaks directly to you. Maybe you’re waiting for clarity about something. Maybe you’re waiting for healing, or reconciliation. Maybe you feel like your life is on pause while everyone else is moving forward. It’s easy to believe that only the breakthrough moments matter. The promotions. The answered prayers. The seasons when everything finally makes sense. But God doesn’t see it that way. He sees the in-between. He sees the faithfulness in the ordinary. He sees the trust you’re building while you wait.
