Understanding “In Christ” Realities

In the Bible, "in Christ" realities refer to the spiritual truths and promises that become true for a believer the moment they trust in Jesus for salvation. It means being united with Him (2 Corinthians 5:17). Because of this union, God no longer sees a person's failures, but rather credits them with the perfect righteousness of Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21). Because it describes a literal, spiritual realm where a believer now lives, it’s not at all surprising that the phrase "in Christ" (or "in Him") appears over 160 times in the New Testament.
