This thing called abiding!

In the Bible, abiding in Jesus means maintaining an intimate, ongoing, and dependent teacher-student relationship with Him. Just as a branch must stay connected to the vine to live and grow, pursuing authentic Christianity is about living in daily, vital reliance on Christ's grace rather than one's own strength. On the night before His crucifixion, Jesus gathered His disciples and gave them a beautiful invitation: “Abide in me” (John 15:4). He did not command them to strive, to hustle, or to manufacture fruit on their own. Instead, He invited them to rest. That’s because, “abiding” and “resting in God’s grace” are deeply connected.
