This gift of Hope!

Biblical hope is a confident, unshakeable certainty based on God’s promises, whereas worldly hope is wishful thinking tied to uncertain, temporary outcomes. While worldly hope says, “I hope this happens, but I’m not sure,” biblical hope says, “God promised this, so it is certain.” Biblical hope carries no doubt and acts as an anchor for the soul. Worldly hope is a subjective desire which depends on human effort, or favorable circumstances. Biblical hope is anchored entirely in the character, faithfulness, and resurrection of God. Worldly hope is anchored in shifting earthly factors like finances, other people, health, or career success. It frequently produces anxiety, stress, and disappointment when unstable earthly circumstances change or fail. Hope in God. (See Romans 8:24-25)
