The truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth!

People have said to me, “Dr. Robert, the Bible may be truth for you but it’s not truth for me!” Is that a statement of truth? Absolutely not!! It reflects a worldly perspective that truth is relative or subjective. Because you don’t accept or believe it as truth doesn’t negate that it’s still truth for you. God’s truth is for everyone whether it’s believed or not. Because something is not believed has no bearing on it being truth! Biblical truth is not relative, shifting, or defined by individual preference. In a biblical context, this phrase means that objective, divine truth (God’s Word and Jesus) exists independently of human belief, feelings, or opinion. Disbelief does not negate reality; rather, the truth remains absolute, requiring a response of faith and repentance to avoid eternal consequences! Truth is personified in Jesus (John 14:6). Ultimately, the Bible suggests that ignoring or denying the truth does not erase it, but rather puts an individual at risk of God’s judgment (Romans 1:18).
