The New Birth Series: Part Six (John 3:1-8)

Absolutely nothing else in this world can take the place of the new birth. We can sense the urgency in Jesus’ words, “You must be born again” (John 3:7). The urgency is because, there’s no substitute for it. Religion, education, good deeds, or high morals cannot replace this new creation. Nothing else in this world brings a dead spirit to new life. Nothing else in this world makes a person a child of God. The new birth is supernatural, not natural. It cannot be accounted for by things that are already found in this world! Nothing else in this world gives a new heart and new desires. Nothing else in this world guarantees a future in heaven.
