The Goodness of God (Part Two)

Many believers and non-believers respond, “If God is good, why is there so much suffering, pain and brokenness in the world?” According to the biblical perspective, the fact that the world is broken does not contradict the goodness of God! One has nothing to do with the other. Instead, Scripture describes the world's brokenness—characterized by suffering, sin, and death—as a result of the Fall, not as a reflection of God’s goodness or initial intentions. The goodness of God is understood through His ultimate plan for redemption and restoration, rather than the absence of pain in the current, fallen world. Be encouraged!
