The Goodness of God (Part One)

God is good. And He’s good all the time. There never is a time when God is not good. While this proclamation may sound like a phrase that's chronically overused to the point of being meaningless, that does not change the powerful and bold truth it contains. From my experience, the goodness of God may be one of the most overlooked attributes of God because people frequently accuse God of doing many things that are not good. Many respond, “If God is good, why is there so much suffering, pain and brokenness in the world?” However, recognizing God’s goodness is essential to an accurate understanding of God’s nature, God’s work in the world, and God’s plans for humanity (see Psalm 31:19, 23:6, James 1:17). Be encouraged!
