Stop Hating God!

Paul says, “Because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so” (Romans 8:7). This hostility/hatred does not necessarily mean an emotional feeling of rage, but rather a spiritual and moral state of rebellion, aversion, and antagonism toward God's authority and holiness. It describes the fallen human condition which is naturally at odds with God. The Bible presents this state of hostility as being overcome through reconciliation in Christ, whose sacrifice on the cross removes the hatred and brings peace between God and humanity. Be encouraged! Be reconciled to God!
