Spiritual Maturity (Part Four)

Paul teaches, “But he who is spiritual appraises all things, yet he himself is appraised by no one” (1 Corinthians 2:15). This is the third group of humanity. This person is spiritually mature and still in the lifelong process of becoming more like Jesus in character, thoughts, and actions. In the Bible, a spiritual man is a believer who is led and empowered by the Holy Spirit. The spiritual man is appraised by no one! In other words, believers are not ultimately accountable to human standards or worldly opinions. Our core identity and actions rest on God’s judgment, not society’s approval.
