Sound Biblical Doctrine Matters (Part One)

Make sure the doctrine you’re getting is sound! The word “sound” is from the Greek meaning "healthy" or "wholesome," and is defined as accurate, biblical teaching that conforms to the gospel and promotes spiritual health, maturity, and godly living. It is the truth entrusted by God and passed down by the apostles through Scripture, intended to be guarded and preserved. Worship apart from sound doctrine becomes mere emotion and performance rather than a transformative, Spirit-led experience honoring God. In other words, worship requires truth! Jesus said, true worship is "in spirit and in truth" (John 4:23), requiring the accurate teaching of the Word. Be encouraged!
