Sound Biblical Doctrine Matters (Conclusion)

Sound doctrine and discipleship are complementary, not contradictory. Sound doctrine provides the biblical foundation of truth, while discipleship is the practical application of that truth. Sound doctrine ensures discipleship is rooted in God's Word, and discipleship ensures doctrine is lived out, not just known. Sound doctrine shapes worship, guards unity, stabilizes faith, and prevents being misled by false teachings (see 2 Timothy 4:3-4). Discipleship without sound doctrine leads to subjective, directionless activity and emotionalism. Sound doctrine dictates how Christians grow in holiness and love; it is the fuel for effective action. Be encouraged!
