Scripture doesn’t minimize seasons of grieving! (Part Two)

Jesus says, “Truly, truly, I say to you, that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; you will grieve, but your grief will be turned into joy” (John 16:20). There are seasons when grief feels like it defines everything. It can shape how you see the world, and in those moments, it can be a struggle to believe that anything will ever change. Jesus does not rush past that reality. He tells His disciples plainly that they will weep and mourn. But He does not leave them there. He adds a promise. Your grief will turn to joy!
