Scripture doesn’t minimize seasons of grieving! (Part Three)

Jesus says, “Truly, truly, I say to you, that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; you will grieve, but your grief will be turned into joy” (John 16:20). Jesus knew that what looked like the end was actually the doorway to resurrection. What felt like defeat was leading to a triumph over enemies, sin, and death! What appeared to be loss was making way for restoration. The disciples could not see it yet. They would not understand it until Sunday morning. But Jesus spoke the truth over them before they could feel it, so that when the change came, they would recognize it as the fulfillment of His word.
