Introspection is an invitation to honesty and spiritual growth!

For the believer in Jesus, introspection means examining your own thoughts, motives, and spiritual condition against the standards of God’s Word (2 Corinthians 13:5). Along with that, it calls on believers to examine the details and results of their faith, to see if it's according to the truth. The Bible says, "As water reflects the face, so one’s life reflects the heart" (Proverbs 27:19). It uses the metaphor of a mirror to teach that your outward actions are a direct reflection of your internal motives, thoughts, character, and spiritual condition. Be encouraged!
