From the heart of Dr. Robert L. Taylor, Th.D., Bible Teacher & Expositor. Let's explore the meaning behind the words, "God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him." How are we most satisfied in God? We're most satisfied in God when we recognize and embrace that true and enduring fulfillment comes from aligning one's life with God's will and finding joy in His presence rather than worldly pursuits. This journey involves trusting in God's love, surrendering to His plan, and finding contentment in His promises. In other words, being most satisfied in God means finding ultimate fulfillment, joy, and contentment in one's relationship with God. This is accomplished by walking by the Spirit of God! What's walking by the Spirit of God? Paul teaches us, "But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please" (Galatians 5:16-17). Walking by the Spirit refers to living a life guided and empowered by the Holy Spirit, aligning our thoughts, actions, and desires with God's will rather than being controlled by one's "flesh" or sinful nature. It's being intentional about and prioritizing spiritual growth, obeying God's Word, and experiencing closeness with Him through the Spirit's influence. This lifestyle involves submitting to the Spirit's prompting, producing spiritual fruit (Galatians 5:22-23), and ultimately, reflecting the character of Jesus. This is how God is most glorified in us! Praise Jesus forevermore! Let's get it, let's go! This is our call to action! Be encouraged!
