God is Faithful

Paul teaches, “If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself” (2 Timothy 2:13). I have made many mistakes in my life, and I have had times when my faithfulness to God suffered. Yet in those times, I can see where God was faithful even when I was not. That’s who God is! His faithfulness to me doesn’t go away because of my lack of faithfulness. God’s faithfulness means He is truthful, reliable, and steadfast in His character and promises. His faithfulness is an unchanging part of His nature, so He is always true to His word, just, and dependable, and will never forsake those who trust in Him. This means His promises are guaranteed to be kept, He cares for, guides, and delivers His people, and He remains faithful even when people are not. I seek carefully and thoroughly for His faithfulness in my life, and that’s when I find the strength to be obedient and faithful to Him. Be encouraged!
