Every storm has purposes! (Part One)

Biblically, the saying that “a storm destroys what isn't solid and reveals what is,” is an indication that trials act as spiritual tests to remove superficial, worldly foundations and expose the strength of one’s true, solid commitment to God. These storms purge, cleanse, and strengthen, preparing believers for deeper faith. Storms act by removing things that lack spiritual substance, such as shallow relationships, false identities, or misplaced priorities. They expose anything not built on a firm foundation. What remains after the wind settles is that which is anchored in God's truth. Trials reveal the authenticity of faith, proving that the believer’s trust is rooted in God rather than temporary circumstances. This concept parallels the parable of the wise builder whose house stands on the rock (Matthew 7:24-27), illustrating that a firm foundation in Christ ensures survival through life's trials. Ultimately, these moments are intended for redirection, growth, and confirmation of genuine, resilient faith. Be encouraged!
