Believe it or not, every person has a worldview—a way of looking at, reacting to, and navigating this life. The question is, as a follower of Jesus, do you have a biblical worldview? Apostle Paul teaches, “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect” (Romans 12:2). In part two, we’re told, “So that you may prove what the will of God is.” This transformation allows and enables you to clearly discern and put into practice God's will for your life. During this transformation, you’ll discover that putting into practice God’s will for your life influences every aspect of the way you live your life. Proving what the will of God is includes the following: “How you express your anger. How you express generosity. How you pray. How you establish healthy priorities and pursue what’s truly important. How you deal with anxiety and uncertainty about the future. How you take full advantage of God’s generosity with a truly grateful heart. How you build your life on a solid foundation. How you interact with others. How you repair damaged relationships. How you respond to people who have wronged you. How you treat your enemies. How you judge others. How you avoid being a hypocrite. How you ensure that other people see Christ in you.” You won’t panic when evil seems to be winning. You won’t see a world spinning out of control. Instead, you’ll draw on your knowledge of biblical prophecy. You’ll see that events are unfolding as God determines. You’ll see His hand in the things happening around you. Instead of panicking, you’ll rejoice and prepare as you anticipate the return of Christ and eternity with God. Paul says, “That which is good and acceptable and perfect.” The result is that you will understand and agree with what God wants, which is described as good, pleasing, and perfect. The verse is a call to adopt a biblical worldview, which is a framework for viewing and understanding all of life through the lens of Scripture. It allows you to see reality accurately and make decisions based on truth, rather than the deceptive patterns of the world. Be encouraged!
