Dysfunctional Family Patterns That Many Considered Normal

From a biblical perspective, sweeping issues under the rug and pretending nothing happened is considered a harmful counterfeit to peace. The Bible promotes active, honest resolution and reconciliation over silent denial, emphasizing that unaddressed wounds only fester and create deeper division. Sweeping things under the rug is not love because it denies the truth! Love rejoices with the truth (1 Corinthians 13:6). Wanting what is true to be understood and accepted by others is one way we express love. Pretending a problem doesn't exist avoids the reality of a situation, making genuine healing impossible.
