Divine Providence (Psalm 103:19) is the biblical teaching that God actively governs, sustains, and directs all events in the universe, from tiny details to major happenings, ensuring they align with His ultimate purpose, meaning everything occurs not by chance but by His wise and powerful will, even working through human free will and sinful actions to fulfill His plan. It's God's active, ongoing care and orchestration of reality, bringing good from bad and fulfilling His intentions through history. This doctrine stands in direct opposition to the idea that the universe is governed by chance or fate.
