If you’re a believer in Jesus, you need a biblical worldview to correctly understand and interpret the realities of life, including your own identity, purpose, and the world's moral framework. It provides a foundation for ethical decision-making, spiritual transformation, and resistance against worldly societal influences that contradict Scriptural teachings. A biblical worldview equips you to critically evaluate your experiences through God's lens, leading to choices and actions that align with your faith. Thus we need to shape a biblical worldview and life view that will help us learn to think biblically and live out the truth of Christian faith. Paul teaches how to develop a biblical worldview with these words, “Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect” (Romans 12:1-2). Developing a biblical worldview is how believers should respond to God’s great mercy to us. The answer is to become living, breathing sacrifices, using our lives up in service to God as an ongoing act of worship. That's what makes sense. This is the natural response we should have to being saved. To do this, we will need to break free from the me-first pattern of those without God, (the world) and have our minds changed in order to be able to understand what God wants. Then, and only then, we will know how to live. Developing a biblical worldview means being intentional, and intentionality is important because it allows you to take control of your life, aligning your actions with your personal values and goals, rather than letting life happen to you. Be encouraged!
