This marks the conclusion of our series, "God's Awesome New Creation Offer!" In part two, we examined one of the most important of the new things that have come is peace with God! Another "new thing" that comes with being 'in Christ" is being made sufficient for all things! Let's examine the words of apostle Peter who says, "Seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust" (2 Peter 1:3-4). God's awesome new creation offer is about our desperate need and God's wonderful provision, "in Christ!" The text of 2 Peter 1:3-4 is awe inspiring on many, many levels!! However, that which stands out very clearly is the deficiency of human beings and the sufficiency of God! Man is unrighteous; God is righteous and He offers righteousness to men "in Christ!" Man is debased by worldly lust; God is holy and offers men a chance to become partakers in the divine nature (new creatures). We have nothing God needs or wants from us regarding our standing righteously before God. Paul said it best with these words, "There is none righteous, not even one" (Romans 3:10). And we have nothing which God doesn't have and which He has not made available to us! It just doesn't get any better than this! God's new creation offer is amazing! God's new creation offer is very impressive! God's new creation offer is about our desperate need and His wonderful provision! Have you accepted this offer personally? God has done all that's needed through Christ. Getting back to 2 Corinthians 5, let's examine the rest of that context. Paul shares, "Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God" (2 Corinthians 5:18-20). That is all that's required! A willingness to accept the fact that God has already done all that's necessary in Christ to eliminate the sin that has separated us from Him! We are to place our trust in what God has already done and be reconciled to Him! Right this moment is as good a time as any! Your move. Be reconciled!
