Trusting Jesus in the space between the loss and the rescue!

Genesis 14:11: “The four kings seized all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah and all their food; then they went away.” Everything was taken. What had been secure one day was no longer secure the next. This verse captures a moment of complete upheaval, when life as it was known suddenly collapsed. However this verse is part of a larger story. What happened in this moment becomes the backdrop for rescue. The people of Sodom don’t see the rescue coming. All they see is the loss.
